Vinylife Hose Co. Looks to Expand Customer Base in Europe
Vinylife Hose Co., located in Romulus, Michigan, had added the Netherlands to its expanding list of customer locations. With over 50 years of experience in providing high–quality, durable PVC hose products to companies in the United States and Canada, Vinylife is now shipping products to a distributor in the Netherlands, and plans to increase European customer and distributor locations over the next year.

Vinylife Hose Co. Seeks Certification as Woman–Owned Business
Vinylife Hose Co. is seeking certification as a woman–owned business to gain access to customers’ supply channels, while supporting customers’ strategic goals and objectives.
This is the first time during its over 50 years of doing business that the company has qualified for such certification. In 2006, the Vinylife operation was purchased by Sylvester Martin, LLC, a family–owned and operated corporation seeking to improve and expand Vinylife’s business. Sylvester Martin co–founder, Beth Shemanski, had plans of taking Vinylife’s unique benefits to an even wider customer base, while further improving manufacturing and distribution processes.
Just this past year, Shemanski became majority owner of the corporation when she learned the benefits of certification as a woman–owned business. "Our customers are seeking qualified minority– and women–owned businesses that are aligned with their goals and objectives," states Shemanski. "A strategy of supplier growth and development is integral to most world–class organizations and many of our customers, and Vinylife is now positioned to take advantage of these kinds of development programs."
